Description

The Mercodia On-demand* IAPP ELISA provides a method for the quantitative determination of IAPP (islet amyloid polypeptide)/amylin in human plasma samples.

Mercodia On‑demand IAPP ELISA is a two‑site sandwich immunoassay using monoclonal antibodies specific for distinct epitopes on IAPP. IAPP in the sample is captured by immobilized antibodies and detected using a peroxidase-conjugated antibody. Signal is generated using a chemiluminescent substrate and measured with a luminescence plate reader.

The ELISA detects mature IAPP and has demonstrated detection of the processing intermediate proIAPP(1-48), supporting a broader assessment of circulating IAPP. Additional characterization can further clarify the relative reactivity of this variant and other proIAPP intermediates.
