Liquid Chromatography Mass Spectrometry (LC-MS/MS)
Liquid Chromatography Mass Spectrometry (LC-MS/MS) is used in biomarker analysis to identify and quantify specific molecules or protein biomarkers associated with diseases or drug responses, guiding patient stratification, treatment selection, and personalized medicine approaches.
LC-MS/MS is also utilized for quantitative analysis of drugs and their metabolites in various biological samples, such as plasma, urine, or tissues. The technique offers high sensitivity, selectivity, and dynamic range, allowing for accurate and precise measurements of drug concentrations. This information is crucial for pharmacokinetic studies, assessing the absorption, distribution, metabolism, and excretion (ADME) of drugs, and determining the exposure and clearance of drug candidates. When studying the pharmacokinetics of drug candidates, including ADME profiles, LC-MS/MS can also be used to optimize dosing regimens, evaluate bioavailability, assess drug-drug interactions, and guide formulation development.
Immunocapture
Immunocapture, or Hybrid LC-MS, is a widely used technique for sample preparation before measuring proteins and peptides in complex matrices. By using Mercodia’s vast collection of antibodies or your own selected antibodies, we conjugate capture antibodies to magnetic beads for downstream analysis by LC-MS/MS, to provide an additional level of separation. Thanks to our expertise in antibody characterization and binding interactions, we can also help you in design, mapping and characterization of antibodies or binding targets. This approach may improve quantification of clinically relevant complex molecules, such as proteins and hormones, with a sensitivity that meets clinical needs. Contact us for more information.
